Terms of Service

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep your credentials secure. Each account holds a single role — student or tutor — chosen at sign-up. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old; if you are under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to your use of the Service.

2. Tutors are independent

Tutors on Prepp Deck are independent providers, not employees or agents of Prepp Deck. Tutors set their own requested rates, subjects, and availability. Tutor verification (including identity checks) is carried out before the verified badge is shown, but Prepp Deck does not guarantee the outcome of any session or the accuracy of a tutor’s self-described qualifications beyond the checks we perform.

3. Verification & KYC

Tutors must complete identity verification (KYC) before receiving the verified badge and requesting payouts. Submitting false, altered, or expired documents is grounds for immediate suspension. Verification documents are stored privately and used only for identity review and payout-name matching.

4. Bookings, payments & refunds

• Payments are processed in-platform (via supported Zimbabwean payment methods such as EcoCash, OneMoney, and cards). Session fees are held and released to the tutor after the session completes.
• If a tutor cancels or fails to attend, the session fee is returned to the student.
• Student cancellations made at least 12 hours before the session start are refunded in full; later cancellations may be charged.
• Taking payment for platform-arranged sessions outside the platform is a breach of these terms.

5. Payouts

Tutors may request payouts of their available (settled) balance. Funds for upcoming or disputed sessions stay locked until the session completes. Payouts are sent to the method on the request (EcoCash, OneMoney, or bank transfer) and may take several business days. We may withhold payouts where fraud is suspected, pending review.

6. Acceptable use

• No harassment, hate speech, or abusive behaviour in sessions, messages, or reviews.
• No academic dishonesty: tutors must not complete graded work, exams, or assessments on a student’s behalf.
• No recording or redistributing session content without the consent of everyone in the room.
• No scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the Service.
• Reviews must reflect genuine completed sessions.

7. Content

You keep ownership of the content you create (lesson materials, whiteboard work, messages, reviews) and grant Prepp Deck a licence to host and display it as needed to run the Service. We may remove content that breaches these terms.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, including for failed verification, payment fraud, or abusive conduct. You may close your account at any time; tutors will be paid any available settled balance after review.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prepp Deck is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid through the Service in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Changes & contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app and the effective date above updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. Questions: support@preppdeck.com.
